The Overseas Qualifications Unit (OQU) can now assess some child care qualifications gained overseas.
The qualification must be the equivalent to an Australian certificate IV or above.
A positive assessment from OQU provides evidence of your qualification level which can be used in your application to the
Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
You must have your qualification approved by ACECQA to be employed as a qualified educator in the early childhood education and care sector in Australia.
