The Perth Wildcats are Western Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL) team. Western Australia also has its own basketball league.

Netball
Netball is the most popular participation team sport in Australia. It is particularly popular with girls aged 5 to 14 years and is played in schools and community teams throughout the State.

Football (soccer)
Football West is the governing body for football (soccer) in Western Australia. Perth has one of the highest numbers of soccer supporters per capita in the country. WA’s biggest team is Perth Glory.

Tennis West
Tennis is a popular participant and spectator sport. The main event in the professional calendar is the Hopman Cup, held in January each year. There are also various tournaments run by clubs and the State organisation, Tennis West.
