Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) (SESR) Visa 494 

Assessments of a skilled migrants qualifications are to be assessed by the relevant Skills Assessing Authority(opens in a new tab) as being at least equivalent to the relevant Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications. 

Child Care Worker is subject to the Education and Care Services National Law which outlines minimum qualification standards nationally.

 

Age Concession

Applicants must be under 55 years of age.

 

English Language Concession 

Applicants must have an IELTS score of 5.0 with no minimum band score.

  • Concessions for English Language Proficiency may not be approved where:
    • an occupation is client-facing, or
    • there are Work Place health and Safety reasons why an occupation may need a higher level of English language ability, or
    • occupation registration and licensing requirements for a higher level of English apply.
